Hello to one and all,

The season is sadly coming to an end and it’s been a year of many positives for my coaching programs and individual coaching here at PRGC.

The group classes we ran went extremely well with many of the golfers are progressing and looking forward to the 2020 season. Special mention must go to both Brian Fowler and Melinda Pooley. Brian, who came late into the game, has progressed very well indeed and in fact recently shot a net 59! This is a fantastic achievement and one that should be applauded.

Melinda started out in one of the beginner classes a couple of years ago and is now a regular player with the ladies and has managed to reduce her handicap very quickly, and I’m sure even better is to come, well done you!

She has also been on the last two Poland trips that I organise where coaching is a major part of the week.

As previously mentioned, this year’s trip to Poland went very well, and it was especially nice to have Jill Peppitt along too. The golf club we play is not only a fantastic, if not challenging course, but they look after us all superbly. The practice facilities allow everyone to hone their games over the time in Poland, but also prepare for the coming season. We went in May this year and the weather was very nice for the 5 days we were there. As usual the standard of restaurants in the town far surpass anything that anyone expects and a good time was had by all ‘après golf’.

Next years trip may well be a mixed trip, so anyone who is interested in joining us, please let me know.

The Open championship was incredible at Royal Portrush and although missing the cut, it was once again a great honour to work for Tiger for the ten days we were there. After winning the Masters earlier in the year, we were all confident that he would have a good week, but it wasn’t to be. I think the majors being all so close together this year really don’t suit the older golfers, and at 43 years old that includes Tiger. I was thrilled to see him win in Japan and match the record of 82 wins with Sam Snead! I spoke to him soon after the win and he was understandably elated, his comment ‘onward and upward’!

I expect to be working for Tiger next year at Royal St Georges in Sandwich Kent, and I hope to see some of you there too.

The chance to see the golfing greats really is a must for all golfers sometime in the lives, Kent will be the nearest Open to us at PRGC, why not plan a trip?

Coaching will start again in the spring, and I hope that more of you will join the learning culture that we are trying to promote at the golf club.

For those of you that have embarked on coaching or are continuing with coaching to improve, thank you for your support and its been a pleasure working with you all.

The club have introduced a number of offers and incentives to promote coaching and ultimately help you all enjoy the game a little more. Sound fundamentals are the key to this game and engraining these fundamentals shouldn’t be a chore. Embrace coaching and practice and I assure you, your games will become more consistent and you will enjoy your rounds even more.

Please look at the club website or my website to look at the many options available.

As it’s the end of the season please browse below for items that I have on sale. As I sell these items as cheaply as possible to my clients, there won’t be much, if any, reduction in price but that is because I try and keep everything as low priced as possible for you all of the time.
